The work will vary from blue/green screen extractions to complex CG integration. Taking part in client reviews and daily sessions, our Compositors follow production methodologies and develop creative approaches to problem solving while also performing all aspects of composite FX design.
Must Have
- Minimum of 2 years VFX industry experience as a compositor

Job Description

Compositor Supervisor/Lead
Exp - 5 years and above | Mumbai
Job Description
The 2D Compositing Supervisors at Famous Studios work closely with the compositors and the VFX Supervisors to ensure the timely completion of shots for their shows. They oversee all compositing aspects of project-based, in-house visual effects production. Supervisors also complete and deliver compositing shots when necessary to the project.
The supervisor will work directly and collaboratively with the project clients. Managing and supervising the team of compositors, briefing them and providing constructive feedback will be the main focus of the supervisor role. Being able to ensure consistency and develop production methodologies, creative approaches and problem-solving play a big part of the position. The Supervisor will also be managing the production workflow and pipeline as well as the production bidding for current and future projects.
Must Have
- You must have a minimum of 5 years VFX industry experience in supervisory roles
- Advanced experience in using Shake and Nuke
- Onset supervision experience a bonus but not essential
- Critical eye for detail, and be able to communicate visual aspects to the team
- Experienced in project management, balancing quality with time constraints
Compositor (Nuke) : Mid/Senior
Exp - 3 years and above | Mumbai
Job Description
Famous Studios is currently in search of VFX Compositors to join its team of artists. In this role, one will integrate CG elements and matte paintings into live action plates. We are looking for someone with a strong creative eye, a problem-solving drive and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the Compositing team, as well as other VFX departments.
Must Have
- Minimum 3-4 years of Hollywood VFX compositing experience with Nuke.
- Experience with Keying techniques like Key-light, Primatte or IBK keying.
- Knowledge of 3D projections in Nuke.
- Sound aesthetic with good understanding of color, contrast, and lighting design.
- Knowledge of film resolution and aspect ratios.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good team player with great attitude.
- Dependable and flexible.
- Takes direction well and exercises close attention to detail.
- Python scripting knowledge will be a plus.

Production Coordinator : Mid level
Exp - 3 years and above | Mumbai
Job Description
Production Coordinators at Double Negative aid the smooth running of high end VFX feature film projects through supporting the production and supervision team, ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of information.
You will be responsible for the artists in ensuring that they understand their schedule of work, relaying information back to the production and supervision team, coordinating the flow of information and elements between artists and departments. This role needs you to be efficient in maintaining databases with current element and shot statuses, in coordinating dailies and taking detailed notes, and ensuring the flow of materials to and from the client.
Must Have
- Experience/Knowledge with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience/Knowledge in working with databases
- Knowledge of FTP software
- Diploma or equivalent education
- Aptitude for learning new software

At Famous Studios, working as a Roto Artist, and honing those skills, is the beginning of a long career in 2D. Learning from our experienced 2D team, you will be responsible for preparing plates for our Compositors by dustbusting and scratch removal. Depending on show requirements, our Roto Artists will be expected to produce garbage mattes and accurate articulate mattes by using our in-house Roto software. We aim to develop your skills by challenging you to remove rigs and wires using Nuke and other Paint software.
Famous Studios firmly believes that the strongest and most talented Compositors are the artists who have come through a Roto and Prep role. It provides skills that remain with you throughout your 2D career.
